New Responsibilities at Work

Sent out in a memo from Corporate to Sr. Management:
Dear Colleagues,

I want to make you aware of some changes in the IT organisation. As you know last summer IT reorganised into functional rather than brand-based or geography-based organisations. Alex Alexandrou was responsible of all of the Legacy Systems for North America and Dan Adams the Business Support function.

With our planned divestiture of Dymo from Esselte, we will need to make some changes. Alex has plans to move with the Dymo organisation into Newell. In addition he is quite busy now working on transition activities. In order to ensure proper attention and focus, we will make the following changes in responsibility:

Alex Alexandrou - Director of Systems Development NA, will be shifting his focus and responsibilities towards the Dymo Divestiture to Newell Rubbermaid. He will also continue to manage the Stamford based IT team supporting Dymo staff.

Dan Adams - Director of IT Business Support NA, will take over the functional and management responsibilities of the Systems Development Team responsible for the care and maintenance of Legacy systems in North America. The following individuals will now report to Dan:

Mike Spielman - Melville
Bruce Tennie - Melville
Dave Ramrattan - Melville
Gord Shillington - Toronto
Jim Dettman - Contractor

Along with this new responsibility, Dan will continue in his existing role as our Business Support Leader for North America. In this role, Dan has responsibility as the single point of contact with the North American Business Units to help them achieve their objectives that require IT support.

Since we cannot formally make changes until the deal with Newell is complete. Please consider this change a work in progress which will become formalised once the transaction is complete.
