Operation snore be gone. Test number 1 sorta

So I purchased this product called "brez", it works better than those dumb breath wrong strips. These have rings that go up inside your nose to open up passageways to the center of the earth. While they have helped reduce the snoring "intensity", they do not eliminate the snore.

Other things I tried were the nose septum pinch thingy, and holding my breath all night, neither of which worked. I was going to purchase the shock thing-a-ma-jigger that sits on your wrist and shocks you when it hears noise to interrupt the snoring. After noticing Heather snore, I decided that electro shocks are probably a bad idea since her noise would also trigger a jolt. A dog shock collar comes to mind... wooffffooooouuuuuuuch.

Operation Snore be Gone - Test 2 "Pure Sleep"

Having somewhat of a desire to sleep in the same bed/room with Heather, I have taken upon myself to find the magic bullet which will do the job. My girlish figure has expanded a bit so I guess I now snore pretty loud according to Heather (she is the Houdini of snoring and claims that I just imagine her snore, it's only an illusion). So in this particular test I purchased the "Pure Sleep" product. I'm sure you have seen this recently on an infomercial. Basically you have to shift your lower jaw forward and set the mouthgard. This does actually prevent my sleeping (going on 4 days now) but it makes your jaw feel like it is unhinged and hurts a bit, takes a couple of hours to be able to bit down properly.

Mexico City Pyramids

View from the top

Yes, I actually made it to the top. I then called Heather from the top of the pyramid just in case I got beamed straight to heaven. Sorry to say that did not happen... maybe next time.

More statues, sponge bob square heads?

Pyramid of the SUN

I about died when climing the steps on this thing, between the high altitude and my body-builder physique, my heart about exploded from the effort. And that was just the first 2 steps, hahaha, wheeze, cough, choke...

Mexico City Trip

I have been neglecting our Mexico City facility for far too long (I visited them over 6 years ago). So I spent a week in Mexico with our plant manager and staff. I think I may have mentioned this before but to give you an example of what a dangerous place this is, our plant manager has been held up by gunpoint twice and is ex-wife was kidnapped for ransom once. Luckily it was his ex, so when they demanded a ransom he told them he had no money and they would have to just keep her (they let her go after awhile so it's all good). Despite the reputation, this has to be one of my favorite places in North America to visit, the people are nice, the staff is exceptional and the food is really good. I took a half day and went to see the famous pyramids, they surprised me on how big they are and how well defined the formations are. My pictures don't do it justice, it was really amazing. They figure they were built between 100-600AD, hmmm, fits in nicely with the B of M records.

what is missing from this picture??

Don't let my overwhelming good looks fool you, there is something missing from my ultra handsomeness... yes, there is something missing from my gleaming face.... "how can Dan possibly see two feet in front of him", you might say. Since I had my implant a couple of years ago in the right eye, it doesn't seem to matter what corrective lens they try, it's as good as it will ever get. So I convinced my new eye doctor that I can get away with a soft contact lens in my left (good) eye. And it indeed works like a charm. I used to have to wear those gas permeable hard contacts that killed my eyes to wear and now I can get away with a nice soft lens that I don't even notice. And there you go, my beauty and awesomeness is better than ever.

2009 Esselte Family Picnic

Esselte Corporation (Dan's employer) held their annual family picnic this weekend. They always do such a nice job. After lunch was served they had all kinds of activities to keep you busy. The kids were treated to three giant bounce houses (A castle, Dalmatian fire house, Jail house), they had an assortment of giant blow up balls all over the field to throw and chase, rides on a toy fire truck, ice cream and face painting. There was magician, a man drawing caricatures, bingo, music, a reptile guy (alligators, snakes, oh my). Aubree loved the snow cones and had several. We had a great time Thanks Uncle Esselte.

Isabelle poses!

Isabelle and I waited for a hour and a half to get this picture. This poor guy was very popular he was drawing as fast as he could and after each picture he would shake is hands trying to keep them from cramping. He was very nice and very good at was he does.

Good Job!

Like a great big sister Isabelle took Aubree for a ride on the Fire Truck.

Chicken anyone?

BBQ Chicken, corn on the cob, roast beef, salad and cookies were on the menu. We were able to find a nice shading spot to eat in the second tent (everyone seemed to want to be in the first tent). Evelyn was asleep the whole time we were there, can you believe it? What a good baby.

~Blog under New Management~

I know what you are thinking but no, this was not a hostile take over. Although contract negotiations were a bit sticky (Aubree spilled her juice). I now weld the creative power behind the blog and as you can see, it already has a beautiful new facelift. I just had to do away with the lighthouse as we no longer live costal. Dan has been retained as a contributing analyst and photographer. Isabelle has been hired as a freelance photojournalist . Aubree is the blogs apprentice photographer while Evelyn’s job is to just be adorable. See, things do get accomplished at Family Home Evening.

It finally happened!

Look fast you may never see it again, hahaha. Heather is usually behind the camara but today Aubree was learning how to take pictures so here is a good one of Heather and Evelyn.
